P1. I want to tell you about water pollution. The situation is really gloomy and sometimes even hopeless. Rivers, lakes, seas, oceans cover more than 70% of our planet. Scientists say “man will die if oceans die”. Over 5 million tons of oil products pollute the ocean each year. About 2 million tons of these products come from cars. First the oil products go into atmosphere. From the atmosphere they go into oceans. A ship wrecked tankers spill a lot of oil into the ocean. In addition big rivers carry into the ocean a lot of waste from industry and agriculture. Pollution means death to oceans. It kills fish, plants, birds .Experts believe life in oceans will be destroyed within 25 years.
P2. Well, we see that water which is necessary for our life is polluted awfully. As for me, I want to focus to another problem - the problem of air pollution. Nobody and nothing on the Earth could live without air. People pollute the air all over the world. A great number of trees growing on the planet produce oxygen and clean the air. But vast forests are cut and burn in fire. Their disappearance upset the oxygen balance.
Besides, the ozone layer in the atmosphere protects the Earth from the dangerous ultraviolet rays of the sun. It’s like a kind of a roof. But now, because of the air pollution, the ozone layer is destroyed. The dangerous rays get through the atmosphere, causing different diseases.
Plants and factories send smoke to the atmosphere. The atmosphere is polluted with toxins. The results are changing of climate and global warming.
T-we have endangered species, the situation is really dramatic. Almost all animals, insects, and birds living on our planet need help. They could disappear forever. During 300 years 280 species were destroyed on our planet. Nowadays the destruction of animals is going on. Why?
P. People cut down trees and many animals lose their homes. They kill animals for their skin, fur, meat, oil, and for fun. The result is sad. Every ten minutes one kind of animal, plant or insect
T. Well, the contradiction between man and nature are really very dramatic. But is there anybody who does something to make the life of animals better?
P3. In 1949 scientists examined the living conditions of animals, birds, and insects. They made the list of rare and disappearing living things and named in Red Data Book. The colour red is a danger signal understandable to all people in the world. The red colour means no passage, stop! The colour red is one of blood and life. The first volumes of Red Data Book were published in 1966. In our country the book appeared in 1974.
This is unusual book. Its pages are of different colours. Animals which need immediate help are placed in the red pages. Those which number is reducing are on the yellow pages. Green pages are for animals which are already saved.
An outstanding English writer John Galsworthy said: «If you don’t think about the future you will not have it.” Look at the screen and answer my question: Do you choose a clean, beautiful nature or a dirty future? Let’s think about the future. Let’s keep our planet tidy and make it better place to live in.

P4. We must keep in mind that not only the industry pollutes the nature. Every year each family create one ton of rubbish. A great number of dumps are all over the country. Just only some facts: it takes more than 2 years to decompose paper. Cans and tins destroy more than 90 years. Plastic packets decompose more than 200years, glass- more than 1000 years
Our village lies in a beautiful place. It is surrounded by woods. There are a lot of pools and small rivers around our village .People like to spend their free time fishing, gathering mushrooms and berries, having picnics and lighting barbecues. Unfortunately, they leave a lot of different litter in their campsites. People drop litter in the streets.

11) T.I ‘m going to show you some international ecological signs. They are international because they are known all over the world. We must follow ecological signs. They tell us what to do or not to do. Look at the board and tell me, please:

T. Environmental protection is an international concern. There are many international organizations which try to protect the nature in Great Britain.
P5. Greenpeace is an international environmental organization, started in the 1960s in Canada. It has a policy non-violent direct actions. Members of the Greenpeace work all over the world. They say that our planet is in danger. The Greenpeace organization tries to protect animals and plants. They try to keep the water clean and the air fresh. Greenpeace has offices in many countries of the world including Russia.
Friends of the Earth. It is an environmental pressure group. This organization was founded in the UK in the 1971. The aim of the group is to protect the environment. The main concerns are air, sea, river, and land pollution: recycling, etc. Friends of the Earth” has branches in 30 countries.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The RSPB is a voluntary organization in Britain. It was founded in 1889 with the aim of protecting wild birds. The society has over 200,000 members.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The RSPCA is a charity organization in Britain which was founded in 1824.The members of this organization protect animals.
T. And in Russia we have Greenpeace and the Voluntary All-Russia Society for Nature Protection. It helps the government on ecological problems.
The world we live in is really wonderful, we live surrounded by this beauty. That’s why people who take care of our planet have established the 22nd of April as a special day around the world-the Earth day. It’s the day for people to learn what they can to protect the planet.

Синквейн (от фр. cinquains, англ. cinquain) - это стихотворная форма, разработанная в начале ХХ века американской поэтессой Аделаидой Крэпси (Adelaide Crapsey). На идею создания синквейна ее натолкнули японские хокку и танка. За сто лет существования форма развилась, усовершенствовалась, и теперь имеется несколько видов синквейнов.
Правила написания синквейна таковы:
На первой строчке записывается одно слово – существительное, Это и есть тема синквейна.
На второй строчке пишутся два - три прилагательных, раскрывающих (описывающих) тему синквейна.
На третьей строчке записываются три глагола, описывающих действия, относящиеся к теме синквейна.
На четвертой строчке размещается целая фраза, предложение, состоящее из нескольких слов, показывающее свое отношение к теме, Таким предложением может быть крылатое выражение, цитата, пословица или составленная самим учащимся фраза в контексте с темой.
Пятая строчка – это слово-резюме (синоним слову, записанному в первой строке), которое дает новую интерпретацию темы, выражает ваше личное отношение к теме.
Первая строка - одним словом обозначается тема (имя существительное).
Вторая строка - описание темы двумя словами (имена прилагательные).
Третья строка - описание действия в рамках этой темы тремя словами (глаголы, причастия).
Четвертая строка - фраза из четырех слов, выражающая отношение к теме (разные части речи).
Пятая строка - это синоним из одного слова, который повторяет суть темы.
