Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 7 классе

«Времена года»

  1. Формирование общеучебных умений и навыков при организации внеклассной работы по предмету.

  2. Развитие фантазии детей, творчества, художественного вкуса, эстетического восприятия окружающего мира и природы в целом средствами английского языка.

Ход праздника

Season’s Party

1. Вступительное слово учителя.

T: Good afternoon, dear friends! Today we are going to speak about the seasons of the year. There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. What is your favourite season?

2. Сообщения учащихся.

P1: My favourite season is autumn. It’s a beautiful season. The leaves in the trees are red, yellow, brown and green. It is warm in September. I can go for a walk. On the 1st of September I am glad to see my friends at school after a long summer holiday. In autumn there are a lot of vegetables and fruit. I like pears, grapes and watermelons. They are tasty.

P2: I don’t like autumn. It’s a dull season. I don’t like when it rains. In October it is cold and it often rains., and we can’t go for a walk. The days are shorter than in summer and the sky is grey. I like summer. Summer is a bright season. The trees are green. It’s hot and I can swim in the river. I can play outdoors all day long. And I don’t go to school. We have the longest holidays in summer.

P3: And my favourite season is winter. Winter is beautiful. The trees are white with snow. There is a lot of snow in the streets and in the park. My friends and I can play snowballs, we can make a snowman. I have a good time in winter.

P4: I don’t like winter. It’s so cold in winter. It often snows. The sky is grey. You can’t go to the forest to gather berries and mushrooms. You can’t swim in the river. The days are short and the nights are long. I like spring. Spring is a beautiful season. The sun often shines, the sky is blue, the birds sing songs. In May the trees and grass are bright green. There are many beautiful flowers in May. We can go for a walk and we can play a lot outdoors.

T: Well, children, I think all seasons are good and beautiful. Everything is good in its season. Now let’s sing a very beautiful song about all seasons.
3. Стихи об осени.

Учащиеся рассказывают стихи о временах года.

Autumn leaves

“Come, little leaves,”

Says the wind one day.

“Come over the meadows

With me to play.

Put on your dresses

Of red and gold

For summer is gone

And the days are cold.”
Yellow leaves, orange leaves,

Red and green and brown.

Rainy time, windy time,

Autumn comes to town.

The snow is falling,

The wind is blowing

The ground is white

Every day and night.

Listen to the rain

Listen! Listen!

Listen to the rain.

Tapping, tapping

On the window-pane.

Listen! Listen!

Listen to the rain.

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter

On the window pane.

Rain on the green grass,

Rain on the tree,

Rain on the house-top,

But not on me.
4. Песня о временах года.

Учащиеся поют песню о временах года.

T: Now let’s sing a song about all seasons.
T: Today we are having a very funny competition. Four teams are taking part in it. They represent different seasons. Seasons, you are welcome!

Учащиеся представляют свои команды.

The 1st team is “Winter”

December. Chill December brings the sleet,

Blazing fire and Christmas treat.

January. January brings the snow

Make our feet and fingers glow.

February. February brings the rain,

Thaws the frozen lake again.
The 2nd team is “Spring”

March. March brings breezes loud and shrill,

Stirs the dancing daffodil.

April. April brings the primrose sweet,

Scatters daisies at our feet.

May. May brings flocks of pretty lambs, Skipping by their fleecy dams.

The 3rd team is “Summer”

June. June brings tulips, lilies, roses,

Full the children’s hands with posies.

July. Hot July brings cooling showers.

Apricots and pretty flowers.

August. August brings the sheaves of corn,

Then the harvest home is born.
The 4th team is “Autumn”

September. Warm September brings the fruit,

Sportsmen then begin to shoot.

October. October brings the pheasant,

Then to gather nuts is pleasant.

November. Dull November brings the blast,

Then the leaves are whirling fast.
1) T: Now I see that you know all the seasons of the year. And now let’s compete.

When we speak about seasons we always speak about weather. You can see different symbols of different kinds of weather. You have to write the correct word under each symbol.

Sunny, rainy, thunder, cloudy, snowy.

Write the correct word under each symbol.

2) Agree or disagree.

T: You have got two cards (+ and -). Now listen to the sentences and raise one of the cards. If you agree with the sentences, raise (+), if you disagree, raise(-).

Учащиеся получают две карточки, слушают предложения и поднимают одну из карточек. Если они согласны с предложениями, они поднимают карточку со знаком (+), если нет, то поднимают карточку со знаком (-).

  1. There are thirty days in February. (-)

  2. The winter months are December, January and February. (+)

  3. The spring months are June, July and August. (-)

  4. The summer months are June, July and August.(+)

  5. The autumn months are September, October and November.(+)

  6. We go to school in September. (+)

  7. School begins on the first of September, school is over in May.(+)

3) Word square.

T: I see that you know a lot about seasons. Now I’d like to see how you know the spelling of the months.

Your task is to find the twelve months of the year in this word square.

T: While our teams are working, let’s play with you, my dear audience. I have some riddles for you, my dear friends.

  1. What fall, but never rises? (Rain)

  2. Two bright sisters are always running and never meet. (The sun and the moon)

  3. I am born green, and die yellow in large and small gardens. (Grass)

  4. A little old woman with twelve children, some long, some cold, some hot. What is she? (A year)

  5. A blue sheet which covers the whole world. What is it? (The sky)

  6. What is without hands and without feet, without a head or a body, but can open the door? (The wind)

  7. It is white, it is cold. We can skate on it. What is it? (Ice)

  8. Which month has only three letters? (May)

  9. Which four months end in the letters –ber? (September, October, November, December)

  10. Which month comes after July? (August)

  11. If the last month of winter is February, which is the first month of spring? (March)

  12. Which season is it now? (Autumn)

4) Anagrams.

Учащиеся должны расшифровать слова, чтобы узнать, какую погоду приносит каждое облако.

T: Clouds sometime bring bad weather. Unscramble the words to find out what kind of weather each cloud is bringing.

5. Инсценирование сказки.

T: We have spoken a lot about different seasons of a year. I am sure that you like fairy-tales very much. Do you? Our participants have prepared one scene.

The Sun and the Wind
Wind: Oh, how strong I am! I am stronger than the sun.

Sun: Oh, no, Mr. Wind, I am stronger than you.

Wind: Let us see. Look at that man. He is in a black coat.

Sun: I see him.

Wind: Let us see who can take off his coat.

Sun; All right.

Wind: I’ll begin. (He begins to blow.) Whooooo! I want that coat.

Man: Oh, how cold it is! Oh, what a strong wind! (He draws coat tighter.)

Wind: Whooooo! I want that coat.

Man: I am so cold. I am glad that I have a warm coat.

Wind: Whooooo! I can’t take off his coat.

Sun: Well, Mr. Wind, you are not so strong. I’ll try to take off his coat. (The sun shines on the man.)

Man: Now I’m not so cold. What a strange day! First it was cold. Now it is hot.

Wind: Well, Mr. Sun. The man took off his coat for you. Now I see that you are strong, too.

6. Подведение итогов.

T: Children, I’m pleased with your work today. Thank you.
